Café Philosophy
Gathering Food – the most important principle is to form relationships with suppliers, farmers markets and local growers who are equally passionate about produce that is hand-picked and nurtured and being able to use organic produce whenever possible. We always aim to minimise food kilometres, reduce our daily impact on the environment and deepen the connection to the cycles of the natural seasons.
Eat Well – We often get dietary requests therefore we like to accommodate customer’s needs by incorporating food that creates an optimal environment within the body to activate healing and well-being. If we can assist in establishing food to sustain health and happiness – that gives us great pride.

According to the Legend
Kaldi a goat herder from Ethiopia, discovered coffee when he noticed his goats would become hyperactive and a bit wobbly after eating the red berries of the shiny, dark-leafed shrub. Kaldi decided to try some himself and soon discovered the exhilarating effects of coffee.
Kaldi then took the “magic” berries to a local monastery where the monks believing them to be a work of the devil, threw them into the fire. This released the amazing aroma of the coffee so the berries were hastily rescued from the flames.
The monks soon learned how to roast and make coffee. They then considered coffee to be a gift from God as it helped them stay awake during prayers. Soon the use of coffee spread from monastery to monastery through out Ethiopia, and from there to the rest of the world.
Hence the name…The Wobbly Goat Cafe
